Project Loo was born out of an initiative to change people's lives, as well as grant access to something we all take for granted everyday -

a working toilet.

It all started when Claire visited Deli's home in eMzinyathi, Inanda and understood the limitations of water supply which has a BIG on this particular community, as well as other neighboring ones.

Living with this limited access to water means that things like washing dishes, drinking a glass of water and most importantly flushing a toilet becomes near impossible.

So currently the community uses an unsafe and unhygienic homemade long-drop. The use of this loo can very easily spread to disease and many other ailments. There is also the fear of people falling into these pits at night, which can be fatal.

So Project Loo has vowed to make a difference within the eMzinyathi community and beyond, one toilet at a time. Read more about our partners, Conloo, as well as how you can get involved through donating to this all important cause.
